Buy your own name. It takes five minutes.

Your domain — yourbusiness.co.uk — is the one part of this you should buy yourself, in your own name. About £10–15 a year. We connect it for free and earn nothing from it.

1

Pick the name

Your business name, as short as you can make it. .co.uk is the normal choice for a UK business — take the .com too if it's free and cheap. Skip hyphens and numbers if you can; you'll be reading it out over the phone.

2

Buy it in your own name

At any registrar — GoDaddy, Namecheap, 123-reg, Cloudflare, whichever. What matters is that the account is yours, with your email and your card on it. Not ours, not your nephew's.

3

Turn on auto-renew

Domains expire, and an expired domain can be taken by someone else. Auto-renew, and keep the card on the account up to date.

4

Decline the upsells

The checkout will offer website builders, email packages, SEO bundles and "premium DNS". You need none of them. Privacy protection is usually free or a pound or two — that one's fine to keep.

5

Then tell us

Send us the name through the form and we'll do the technical part — connecting it to your site — at no charge. You never have to touch a DNS setting.

Tell us your domain

Why it matters more than it sounds

Whoever owns the domain controls the business's identity online — website, email, everything. Small businesses lose their domain this way constantly: a web company registers it "to save them the hassle", the relationship ends, and the name goes with it.

So we deliberately don't buy it for you. If you ever leave us, you take your domain with you and nothing breaks. We earn no commission from any registrar — there's nothing in this page for us.

To be clear: the domain is not included in the £299. That covers the site, the set-up and two years of hosting.
